The Televation's on-the-fly MPEG4 encoding receives a QAM signal via coax, decodes and decrypts it using a QAM tuner and CableCARD, then transcodes and transrates from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4, then outputs it to any device on your home network at the optimal resolution for that device. Its easy installation allows the Televation to be up and ready to go with only Ethernet and coax connections. Meanwhile, the Televation can be viewed and controlled from any Android or iOS tablet/mobile device as well as IP-connected TVs and similar devices by way of WiFi connectivity and control applications available from the Android and iOS app markets.
