The MG-25P enables media streaming and file surfing from multiple sources on a TV using the included remote control; sources include PC's in the local network and files stored on the device's internal hard drive. All supported file formats include Movies: MPEG 1, 2, 4 (MPG, MPEG, AVI, M2V, DAT, VOB, etc) XviD (Except GMC, Qpel option applied); Music:MP3, OGG Vorbis; and Photo: JPG. The MG-25P has a USB 2.0 interface, complete with USB 1.1 compatibility also, to connect quickly to a PC and transfer files. The MG-25P also includes left and right, 2 channel stereo, audio outputs with audio sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96KHz. High Resolution video outputs also on the device include Composite, S-Video, and Component video output with support for 480p, 720p, and 1080i progressive scan formats. The Media Gate MG25P streaming device was released in September, 2007 and has an MSRP of $199.99.
