D-Link DPG-1200

The D-Link DPG-1200 is a media streamer designed to play different media fron the PC to the TV. It works in wired or wireless mode and comes with its own remote that controls the mouse function of the PC as well as the TV.

This allows the user to have the PC in a different room from the TV.   There are some drawbacks however. The DPG-1200 works only with PC's running Windows, so no Macs. One reviewer found that when used in wireless mode, signal quality suffered. The reviewer found the best results with static media like a web page, slides or photos.While the concept is good, one reviewer says the DPG-1200 is "more like a remote desktop projector for your PC."
